Has anyone been watching the series ? What do you think of it so far ?

I've been downloading the episodes in HD off the iPlayer as I don't have a HD box. I have to say it's an excellent series so far with some amazing camera work, the super slo mo big wave shots for example look spectacular even on my 20" widescreen pc monitor. One of the best documentarys I have seen in a long time, nice to know some of the tv licence money is actually being put to good use for a change.

If you havn't seen it you can catch up on the episodes here ,although only the most recent looks to be in HD. Oh and funnily enough it's a series about the South Pacific islands

, which I have forgot to mention so far.

Yeah. The Wife and I have seen them all so far. Started watching it for more info on Hawaii where we went for our honeymoon in '02.

One of the best natural world series we've seen, and as much as I like David Attenborough, the presenter-less format is more to my liking.

Recording it and Watching it on Digital, not sure if my HDR upscales the Tuner content or not but even in SD the pictures are stunning, Fantastic series.

I am really annoyed because I thought it was the stupid musical when i seen it on listings and avoided like the plague for 2 weeks, very unhappy when i realised it was not a musical and also very good, the Tuna fishing sequence with the rod and line was simply breathtaking on HD, its amazing how those guys do it.

Why couldn't they have named it "Really cool and interesting Pacific, probably better than Blue Planet too!" rather than lose loads of possible viewers with that stupid name?
