Sound Problem - Humax HDR-2000T 500GB

Humax HDR-2000T 500GB

I bought the above PVR last week and it works fine though i have to use a Aerial Splitter.

The sound coming through the PVR seems a bit faint and i have to turn it quite a bit as compared to my Panasonic TX 32L ZD8 TV.

Any ideas?

How is it connected into the TV? Is this the sound coming out of the TV speakers compared to the inbuilt tuner? Also, is there a separate volume control on the Humax which varies the output of the volume from this, which is independent of the TV volume?
