sound clearest optical connection or normal connection through computer headphone and amp cd entranceS

Im listenin to my new amp and speakers.

Shouldnt the music be in better quality with optical connection through apple tv, than normal wire connection from computer headphone to amp cd.

I think it is a bit hard to tell the difference in sound quality?

My setup is marantz pm 6005 and q acoustics concept 20 speakers.

Potentially yes. The DAC on your amp should be of a higher standard than that of your computer I imagine.

Depends on your soundcard, some are pretty good, best to try them out.
