Hi all,

I've got the Samsung JS8500 which comes with 2 remotes, one being the standard Samsung TV remote.

On the playback buttons at the bottom of the remote, generally all the symbols are on the buttons. However, on the RW/FF buttons, the skip chapter symbols sit above the buttons on the remote. Does anyone know how to activate this separate function?!

Sorry again for the silly question! *scratch_one-s_head*

It's not a silly question at all - some things are not very obvious and if you don't know, you don't know. And electronic manuals are not always helpful. Alas, though myself a former Samsung television owner until I gave it away, neither do I, sorry! Hope someone knowledgeable can help.*good*

I've got a Samsung UE40F7000 in my bedroom and just replaced my UE55F8000 in the living room, both of those had the same two remote setup.

The answer is simple...press and hold the button down to skip chapter*good*

Should have mentioned it in the original post, but it's when I'm accessing Netflix (when I actually can!) or Amazon Prime.

Holding the button just fast forwards rather than skips chapters. I know it's definitely possible for both services as this function works if watching through the Xbox One or PS3, just wondered whether this was just a limitation of the Samsung app or remote.

Buttons there on the remote, just don't know how to use it! *fool*

Holding the button down worked for me when using the Amazon app so no idea why it's not working for you, as for Netflix I have no idea but it could just be a limitation of the app. Perhaps Samsung has changed the inferface and apps since I had my 55F8000 as holding the button down always skipped chapter on everything except when using the media server function where it would only fast forward.

Very confusing.
