Sony STRDN840 - Perfect(ish) Speaker set up

Hi,

Very new to this game so looking for some advice around a relatively budget set up powered from the Sony AVR.

Looking to spend about £1,000 / £1,500 on the speakers, yet to decide (or should I say, the wife is) if it'll be just fronts or 5.1 yet. Room is 3.5m x 6m.

Usage will be about 50% movies and 50% music. I do like a good bit of bass and would prefer the speakers to have some presence in the room.

Current thinking is to go with a package:

Dali Zensor 5

Monitor Audio BX6 (5.1)

Dali Zensor 7

Q Acoustics 2050i Package (5.1)

I'd have thought the Zensor 5 or 7 package would be plenty good enough for your needs.

You could upgrade the rear speakers to Zensor 3s for an extra £80, and of course you'll need some good speaker cable, which I'm sure they'll have a deal on when you purchase the 5.1 set.

A good company to deal with, and they also give you a free 5 year warranty with the Dalis.
