SONY STR DH800.

I am thinking of buying the above receiver but would welcome advice on two aspects :-

(1) I believe the Sony STR DG820 had problems accepting SKY HD sound - is this receiver likely to have similar difficulties?

(2) At present I have a 6.1 sound system with a single central rear speaker. From diagrams of the DH800 I see there are connections for a left rear and a right rear speaker. How should my single speaker be wired into those?

1) No, no such problems with the STR-DH800. I think Sony learned its lesson on that one!

2) It connects to the surround back left channel.

Thanks for prompt reply , Andrew. Just one question - will I just not hear what's coming through the rear right channel?

No: the receiver will detect there's only one rear speaker during set-up, and send both signals to the one speaker.

Thanks, I understand. Incidentally, do you think this receiver is the better proposition or should I be looking around for a DG820?
