i have a new sony 820 amp and boston speaker system,i have set it up using the supplied mic and have the crossover at 120(boston recommendation)but i am getting siblance!Anyone with a solution?
Is that through all speakers or just the subwoofer? how loud is it?
Another recommendation is after the initial setup, use an SPL meter ( use a tripod with it ) to check speaker levels using the test signal from the amp at your required sweet spot.
centre speaker only, may be the auto calibration, options are full flat, front reference and off,to get rid of it i have it at off but then the sound is "flabby"
I've just had a quick read of the manual check page 93 about hums & noises, if you dont have the manual you can see / download the PDF version online Here
The auto callibration options shouldnt give it a hum effect after its completed & youve exited the function, so i would double check all the speaker connections are good.
