Sony STR-DA2400ES - What happened?

The Sony STR-DA2400ES seems to be impossible to find (OUT OF STOCK).

Does anybody know if there is a chance of this product being available any time soon?

I have read on old thread on this very forum but I thought that the problem got sorted since last March.

I was lucky enough to get hold of one from Play.com about 3 weeks ago (£430) and I think it's great! Have got it set up with the KEF 2005.3 speaker package (probably an expensive choice, but I like 'em!), plus my PS3 and Sky HD

I've just tried another search for the Sony (as a couple of mates are now tempted!) and unfortunately Play don't seem to have any anymore.

Amazon have it listed for ~£428 but say "usually dispatched within 1-4 months"!

My local Sony centre in Reading has it for £600, citing the poor Yen-Sterling exchange rates for the price increase (understandable).

Superfi.co.uk claim to have more in stock in 'early June' (£440).

I got one a few weeks back from Amazon, but the day after, they were also out of stock.

Strangely enough, I also got the 2005.3 kit as well! Although, I'm still waiting for an extra 2 to make it up to 7.1
