sony oled

does anyone know whats the difference between the bravia 8 and the bravia 8A apart from price.
The two main differences between the Bravia 8 and the Bravia 8A, as identified by Sony are such: No backlight on the remote for the 8A. And fewer perks in the streaming bundle (5 credits and 12 months of Sony Pictures Core, versus 12 credits and 24 months on the Bravia 8).

i have a panasonic plasma now 15 years old and still working i would choose the sony bravia 8a simply because it would sit on my stand as other tvs seem to have the feet on ends and some sit on higher stands.

Yes, it’s an important point, and one reason why I like the central stand on many LG tellies. Aside from Sony, they are worth looking at.

Looking at the specs it says that the Bravia 8 II has a QD-OLED screen whereas the 8a has a Triluminos OLED screen. The QD-OLED is the latest type and should be brighter if needed.

You can get a VESA mount stand for not that much money these days, so if you need a centre stand you could get one of those. (Pretty much all TVs come with VESA mountings these days )
