Sony multi region blu-ray players

Do they play american DVDs, as the american tv system is different from ours?

I'm interested in the Sony BDP760 from Richer Sounds which is multi region. Has anyone experienced any problems with the multi region version of the Sony BDP760?

You won't have any problems playing American (Region 1) DVDs with your multiregion player.

no problems. i have one. The multi region only rrfers to DVD's and no problems
