SONY KDL50W685 FAULT

Purchased above on 18th November, had no problems until today when tv was stuck on one channel and was unable to use any function on remote or maually on tv. Having had this type of fault on sky hd box over the years, I disconnected the power supply to tv. This cleatred the fault and is now working perfectly. Has anyone else had this kind of problem and would I be advised to return tv to store for exchange.

I've not seen this before. Where did you buy the tv from? If it's the first time it's happened then I'd be inclined to see if it happens again, however some shops such as John Lewis offer a no quibble exchange within 28 days. I can see this potentially being a fault that can't be spotted by repairers if it doesn't happen to often so you would need to consider this

Thank you for your comment. Returned tv to Currys and had a replacement, their policy for returns is 21 days.
