Sony KDL-40W605B and Philips HTL5140B Soundbar - Sound Lag Issue

I've got the above bits of kit which are really nice but the soundbar is always slightly late / out of sync with the picture. It's always behind so the sound sync option on the Philips is no good as it only adds upto 200MS, not minus.

I'm using a new 1.4 HDMI ARC into port 2 of the TV. I've tried an optical cable which presents exactly the same sound lag problem.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm having the same problem, using hdmi arc, it's fine with live tv from my freesat box, but recorded playback, and Netflix etc has a slight lag in sound.
