Hi

Popped into Currys today and saw the Sony KDL-40D3500. The sales guy told me the model was 2 weeks' old so I assumed it had superceded the KDL-40W3000 but both models seems current on the Sony web site.

I can get the 40W for around £999 online as well as high street, and Amazon has the 40D3500 for £670 which seems amazing. It has one less HDMI but, other than future proofing this won't be an issue - so is there a difference ?

There seems so much price difference between models which seems almost the same that it's really confusing...

Thanks

the d3500 replaces the d3000

the w3000 is being replaced in may/june by the w4000 which is why the w3000 is currently at a cracking price.

im pretty sure the D3500 isnt replacing the D3000, as the D3000 is only in 32" whereas D3500 only in 40-46

Hi,

I too was agonising over these two tv`s but after seeing the Panasonic Plasma range i was converted.

Ended up getting a TH42PZ85B, in my very humble opinion a far better set and if you can afford the slightly higher price its worth every penny.

Whatever you decide happy viewing.
