Sony e4000 series

I am interested in getting the 40inch version of the Sony e4000 series. It seems to be a bit different to other tv's (if you believe the marketting). I like the dedicated photo display mode than can connect to usb.

Does any one know if it is any good as a TV.

I was under the impression the e4000 series is the same as the w4000 except for the picture frame exterior and higher cost? I'm sure the W4000 series has the same USB ports and photo viewing facility. From what I can see, it's simply an aesthetic change for people who want to hang the TV on the wall and pretend it's a picture, although I could be wrong?

Well without going through a comparison of the specs the major difference apart from the different colour surrounds available is the screen sizes. The E4000 comes in 26", 32" and 40" while the W4000's are 32", 40", 46" and 52".

I asked at the local Sony Gallery and I was told the only differences where the frame and the backlight when in picture mode (cannot recall but think one of them had backlight off).

Well the W series has great reviews so colour me interested!
