This thread is getting completely out of hand and this sort of discussion has absolutely no place on a hi-fi forum like this. There is absolutely no sense of proportion or reason in most of this thread and it is characterised by ridiculous and provocative statements which display a shortfall of intelligence or any understanding of commercial reality.

I am, quite frankly, shocked that WHFS&V are continuing to host this thread and would hope that the decision is taken to lock it before it goes any further.

You're right, which is why I deleted my post above.

How does one judge what does and doesn't have a place here? The fact that the thread started with an absurd title made it pretty clear that it was going to be bizarre from the start.

Yes, and the fact that those making the statements are making themselves look ridiculous, and achieving nothing else, should make it clear to those reading just how absurd their remarks are.

Why shocked? As I said above, it's just some people making ridiculous statements which are so ludicrous that no-one could take them seriously.

It'll run out of steam of its own accord soon enough, which I get a sense it's beginning to do already...

Just saw this and it's cheered me up on a Monday morning.

I think Sony Centres need to have a "no shiney suits in the store" policy to keep the Yakuza out. They may lose the passing estate-agent trade, but it's the price they pay for the safety of their staff.
