Hi,
I have recently bought a 40 inch Freesat Bravia. (No freeview reception in our area currently). The TV was rated 4/5 for the smaller 32inch model in the last issue and the better 40 inch W series model was previously well written up I believe.
I have read many comments about Sony LCD issues on different forums described as 'light bleed' and 'backlighting issues'. Although I have not noticed any problems with my tele, I am not sure what I should be looking for to be honest. Is this an issue that affected every single Sony TV sold, or just a hot and miss issue?
Any pointers would be great - if their is a particular kind of picture (i.e. dark film shots etc), that would highlight if I had an affected panel? My tv came with a 5 year warranty, but I don't want to return it if there is not an issue.
Thanks,
Chris
