Sony rumoured to release Bravia 7 II and Bravia 9 II Mini LED Smart TVs in 2026 with up to 4,000 nits peak brightness

New details about Sony's next Mini LED Smart TVs have emerged online. Split across Bravia 7 II and Bravia 9 II series, the six TVs are thought to span between 65-inches and 98-inches with up to 4,000 nits peak brightness at their disposal thanks to 15,000 local dimming zones.

Looks like OLED is still King which was the rumour on the street for about 6 months now with OLED TVs still producing the best black levels despite the arrival of RGB mini-LED TVs. I am glad I got my mini-LED cheap and it as near OLED black levels already. The RGB mini-LEDs will only be brighter as far as I am aware, but I am already turning down the brightness on my Sony mini-LED, so will people find it too bright?

We will have to wait and see. I am happy with mine though, although I accept OLED is still king and will remain king despite RGB being on the scene. WHF have done an article on similar lines too:

If you have decent ambient light in a bright room then LCD is a very good option. Also if you game a lot.

It's all personal of course, but I prefer OLED as I prefer tele at night in a fairly dim room.

When I start watching with the lights on I'll get a mini RGB LCD. Can always turn the brightness down 🙂

Got my Sony Bravia 7 in IMAX picture mode now. 😉 Standard is just too bright.

I know what you mean. 🙂 But I have bought stuff from there before like a Sony DVD camcorder at an excellent price brand new and that was good. And a Samsung flagship soundbar and that was great too. They do turn up at weird times though like 6.30am in the morning, and they are a bit of a rough diamond but not too bad. 🙂
