Does anybody have the same set up as myself??

Sky HD 1TB (Amstrad DX895)

Sony KDL52HX903

Sony RHT--G11 Home Theatre Stand.

As per mentioned, have the HDTV connected directly to Theatre Stand via HDMI. Connected Sky HD via HDMI & Digital Optical Out to Theatre Stand Digital Optical In. Having manually changed the 'audio' settings for the Home Theatre Stand to 'Optical' out, still getting 'Pro Logic II' as oppose to Dolby Digital ...why is that??

hi. you need to set the Sky to Dolby too? it's in the settings under sound - from memory. let me know if that works

That's already set on 'Dolby Digital' as default. I'd phoned 'Sony U.K' they'd informed that the HDMI connection from the Sky HD receiver would need to go directly into the TV, but leaving the 'Digital Optical Lead' into the Theatre Stand. Will try this later on today. As i'm offski to bed now!!

Could you tell me what settings are on by default for the advanced settings? Or if anybody has turned them off???
