Sony 46hx803 question

Hi

I was just reading some bits on the sony 46hx803 and noticed it said it can upscale normal sd pictures 576i to 1080p pictures. When i put the tv on channel 5 i noticed it read 576i at the top of the screen, does this mean it is not upscaling the pictures?

Could someone tell me how i can upscale the sd pictures, i have tried reading the manuel but could not see anything.

gel, unless a 1080p hdtv is receiving a 1080i/p source its always upscaling, you dont have to set the tv to do anything, its what source thats being fed that determines if the tv is upscaling or not, so if you see 576p being displayed then thats the source, the tv auto upscales that..

i didnt sign up straight away, it was after i had bought my v20, i just had to tell people about it

i think toodlepip's excistence was about ten days

oh i think i just made a few comments re. panasonic tvs and how good i thought they were

, i didnt think anyone would suspect it was me
