Sony 40W4000 vs Samsung LA40A650 (series 6)

I need assistance please help me to make a decision on which to purchase.

I mostly watch SD dvds but would eventually move to BD and the only sport I watch is F1.

Which LCD here is the best choice i.e. performance wise, my main concern is motion.

When i bought my Samsung 40f86 model, 9 months ago it looked to me to be better than the Sony that was around at that time. Since then Sony have definetly improved and probably overtaken Samsung especially with their newer models ie the 40w4500 and z series and price drops, as for motion these newer Sony's should cope quite well, but majority of viewers would recommend the Panny or Pioneer plasmas. I would seceond that and say for £559- £900 you could get a decent 42" set that would out preform both Sony and Samsung with motion handling and sd broadcasts. Like anything it's what you like and prefer so go to your local store and have a look for your self. Also worth checking out prices with store's as some have told me as from 5th jan prices on Pioneer and Sony are going up 33%.
