Why not, they need the money :)
(They wanted £1000 for a repair on my Nephew's car.....that was done for £50 by non- Audi).

This is my Google review of the local dealership:

An update, which I will just report as a list of factual events - you then be the judge:
- Took car in for comment on paintwork issue.
- Dealership took photos and said they'd submit it to Audi UK for approval.
- Said this might take some months, so after five I wrote asking for an update. No reply.
- Wrote again by recorded delivery. No reply.
- Wrote a third time, no reply.
- Wrote to dealership's head office. No reply.
- Wrote to Audi UK, who confirmed that what the dealership said was not true. They had rejected the work, not submitted it for approval and then repeatedly ignored me.
- You just lost two customers.
 
It was an issue out of warranty that many dealers have addressed under the long-term bodywork warranty. I'd have had some modicum of respect if they'd just said no, but I'm sure you can see why I was unhappy with the wall of silence approach.

Don't get me started on what they were like in terms of repair and servicing costs...
