SME model 6

It's not on SME's web site but Hard to find hifi has one for sale??

I know what you mean, however looks can be deceiving but for £6k I would be looking elsewhere as it does resemble something you could pick up in Tesco, it's probably very well built but .....that look? It obviously wasn't styled by Porsche.
That ribbed platter mat doesn't do anything for it either.

I was surprised to see the review, and as you say it’s not even on SME’s own webpage which seems strange. The caption photo make it look out of proportion, I agree, but the close-ups reveal the sort of engineering SME are renowned for. I’d not sniff at one!

I have just had an email from SME and they confirmed that it is a new Turntable.
Over the last 50 years of hifi enjoyment I have always said that looks don't matter its the sound that matters, but I am not sure if I could live with this Turntable no matter how good it sounds!

I certainly have no inclination to ditch my current turntable for it.
I'll bet it doesn't even come with a dust cover.....
