small tv stand

I have just invested in sky multi room but unfortunately have had to put my sky plus box on top of a 24 in old crt. I had been advised to have the crt on a stand which the sky box could sit under leaving enough room for heat dissipation. I have looked everywhere for a simple single tier stand wide enough to go over the sky + box and have the crt stood on, but am to now unsuccessful. Are there any suggestions to where i could find one or is it a case of wood, screws and a drill?

What budget are you looking at? If small budget, I'd have a look at the likes of Argos / Ikea's range. However, if you're looking for a stand which will offer better isolation / vibration reduction, have a look at some AV specialists shops (like Sevenoaks Sound and Vision / Superfi / Richer Sounds) who should stock stands in this category.
