Yes I know there a lots of threads on here regarding Sky audio delays but this one is different.
SkyHD to my Yamaha RX-V1500 by optical and HDMI to my PDP-507.
All of my HD channels have severe audio delay. If the optical delay is adjusted in the sound settings on the Sky box it falls in a little bit, not completely, but then throws out all the delay on the standard def channels. The amp has delay settings but this affects the other channels as well. I have had Sky replace the boxes twice now because of it, the first 2 were Pace and now Im on a Samsung.
I am hoping to upgrade my amp soon with either a Onkyo 876 or Yamaha 863. Will this audio problem be sorted when Im connecting to the amp with HDMI for video and audio?
Could it be the amp? Or is it worth trying connecting to the amp via Digital Coax instead of optical?
