Could be interesting, but think a lot of us would want to see the new Xbox have a much bigger hard drive before we'd consider binning our sky boxes

I think you're missing the point.

It's nothing to do with binning your Sky box. Its Sky offering a subsidised Xbox as part of a subscription package

You would still need your Sky box, you would just be running it through the Xbox and making use of its HDMI passthru/UI overlay
