sky tv and splitter - question

i hace a power surge block that from memory takes 1 sky input then has two outputs on it so guess must be a splitter in it if i connect both to my sky box will i still be able to watch one channel record another or do i still need the two feeds fromn the dish - if anyone knows would be greatful

sorry ignore that it has a sat in and cable in using f connectors an a sat out cable out using f connectoors so guess i can just use both for sky - 2 in 2 outs

Yes you need two feeds if you want full functionality.... Connecting the sat feeds through a surge block is completely pointless excercise anyway. They reduce signal strength/quality and won't protect you from a direct lightening strike anyway.
