Hi all,

I am currently watching SKY in my bedroom TV using a co axial wire and the magic eye from the RF2 out from SKY box. I bought a TV for the kitchen and would like to get SKY on that TV too. With this in mind I went to my local electronic shop and asked how do I go about this: the man showed me a mains TV booster with 1 TV in and 2 TV outputs which looked very flimsy and would have cost around £14.99.

Since, I already have something exactly the same at home and I didn't purchase it and also for the reason of it being a TV booster.

Can you please tell me if this kind of booster would carry SKY signal to the both TVs and how do I connect it from the SKY box?

Thank you very much.

A 'booster' will certainly carry the signal, hovever it may not allow DC pass through, in which case it wouldn't power/be compatible with 'magic eyes', so you would be able to watch Sky on the additional/remote TVs, but not be able to control the Sky box.

You be better off using an distribution amp, like the Global T1xx range (which come in 2,4 and 8 way models), that allow DC pass through/are compatible with magic eyes. See HERE for Global Distribution amps

Daveh75,

Thank you very much for the reply. As I would like to have the have control of the SKY box via magic eye I would get a Global Tx2 as you suggested.

Thanks again
