I have connected my speaker cable to the HF posts on my speakers and connected the jumpers (links) between the HF and LF posts.

I noticed in the Russ Andrews brochure, I recently received, that thay advise connecting the speaker cable to the LF posts and not the HF posts.

Which is best?

Hi triggy

I can't say i've noticed any performance difference between HF/LF speaker terminals however over the years i've just ended up using the LF terminals.

All the best

A dealer previously advised me that it's best to connect to the HF posts, because if you do it the other way around then the shortest electrical path will be to the woofer/LF cross-over assembly which will 'hog' the available current and potentially leave insufficient for the HF driver. Whereas the HF driver doesn't need much current, so it makes sense to let it take all it wants and leave the rest for the LF.

No idea whether that actually holds up to any kind of scientific or audible scrutiny. I changed my connections round on this advice, but I'd bought new cables at the time, so any difference was masked.
