Basically what I'm looking for is a pair of closed back single cord headphones. Only problem is I would prefer the cord on the right. That and the fact they would have to stand up to unfair wear and tear.

Thank you

German maestro,

Never heard of them but they look to be the tool. Listening environment is usually a sound or broadcast desk. (Although sofas and iPads have also featured)

Thank you

I got mine from HiFiHeadphonesUK. The 8.35D is the rare combination of super rugged build and high quality sound.

Hedm, I personally really like the TMA-1 range from AIAIAI, and I find the Studio Young Guru version to be my pick. They are not only incredibly comfortable, but they are also very durable. They also feature deep, yet tight bass and that isn't to the detriment of the midrange or treble either. Having been a fan of good hifi for a couple of decades I treated myself to a pair fo these and am extremely happy with them.

Other choices would be the Beyerdynamic T51p, a superb brand that puts sound quality ahead of everything else. These also are very very hardwearing, built to last.

Hope that helps.
