ANWKLO:

The control ability of M1 is much better than K2. M1 is more musical and emotion of tonal voice. The bass is much more and solid. The treble is better control in terms of not bright.

For further improvement, should I add a M1 stereo power amp for bi-amping or replace K2 CDP to M1 CDP first?

Well I can highly recommend the Caspian M1 CDP if you can get one second hand......combined with my Caspian M1 Pre / Power combo the sound is amazing. Solid but not overpowering bass....excellent detail, control and timing.

Once I have upgraded my speakers I will certainly be looking at adding an additional M1 Power Amp and bi-amping my new speakers.

It will be horizontal bi-amp instead of vertical bi-amp then

Gut feeling would be to choose the CDP first. However, if you can listen to both and see which one gives you the bigger sonic boost.

I think you will be mightly impressed with the M1 CDP with the M1 Integrated I demoed that combination last year with various speakers and was very very impressed.

Obviously the M1 is discontinued now and not sure how easy they are to get from a dealer for a home demo....if there are any new ones still knocking around anywhere. I bought mine second hand and only paid £300 for it (4 years old)...so I think I got a bargain there

Also has a good array of outputs on the back for connection to a DAC or I would believe into a pair of active speakers.

ANWKLO:There is a few brand new M1 CDP, which cost equivalent to ~$810 at local agent.

Excellent, well I would definately suggest having a listen and if possibly arranging a home demo.....as I said, dont think you will be dissapointed and will probably provide more instantly noticeable sonic improvement to your system over adding a power amp. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
