Sharing music between an ipod and a Creative Zen.

My son has been given a Creative Zen V Plus and I want to share some of my music from my ipod. I see that my ipod music is kept in MPEG4 files, some with and some without a padlock. When I tried to drag and drop files (whether they are padlocked or not) into the Creative Zen folder a message came up stating they were not compatable. I see that the CDs I have burned onto the Creative Zen are kept in WMA files.

Can I share music between the two players and if so what is the best way?

Thanks

Assuming your music library is on a computer using i-tunes you could convert the music you wish to share into mp3`s and then the Zen should be able to handle them.I think the padlocked files have DRM on them, are they downloads? There is probably a way around this but this is not the place to discuss it (Google anyone?)
