Quite a while ago i purchased an MS 309i subwoofer to fit in with the rest of my MS home cinema speakers.

At the time i bought it I struggled to find anything as to how it should be configured/set-up?

The manual and CD that came with it were next to useless and I couldnt find anything on the net (but I never posted on here)

Anyway its plugged in and has been working for ages with guessed settings ...and it sounds good (I think).

My worry is are the settings I've got perfect, rubbish or somewhere in between.

Anybody got any advice?

Settings are:

Power

(on/off or auto) - set to Auto

Variable notch filter (on or off) - switched on

Cut DB (settings are 2 to 16) set to 7

Frequency HZ (settings are 25 -110, (also tracks from 2 to 11)). Set at frequency 42, half way between track 6 & 7. 50% of way round.

Volume - set at circa 60%

Frequency Phase (settings 50-200). set around 3/4 way round so i am guessing about 115 ish?

then there is a switch which can be set to 180 or 0.  Its set to 0!

I don't expect any replies but its worth a shot.

Well here is your first.
I didn't bother with half that on mine. I have the variable notch and cut - off
The frequency set to full and let my onkyo 875 do the crossover for the sub.
Then the volume I set to around 1 o'clock. I also set the phase to '180' for films and then '0' for any music I may play. Sounds great to me.
