Hi....,

Can someone tell me if you can change the impedance of individual speakers on the Yamaha RX-A1010 as my Fronts(Quads ESL63's with Gradient Subs) and Front Presence(Monitor Audio Bronze BX1's) are 8ohms, but my Centre and Surrounds(Monitor Audio Silver Centre and FX Surrounds) are 6ohms. I cant tell from the manual if you can....Please can somone clear this up for me...

Thanks in advance for your replies.....

No you can't. Forget it / it will be fine. Impedance stated is only a guide since it depends on frequency. 4ohm may give a mismatch but yours are fine.

Hi. Thanks for that..

So is it best to just leave it at its default setting of 8ohms. Or should I set the impedance at 6ohms...?

Thanks…

Because you are using a mixture of nominally 8-ohm and nominally 6-ohm loudspeakers, you will need to set the speaker impedance on your Yamaha RX-A1010 to six ohms.
