I've read elsewhere that the S-380 delivers the same performance as the S-370 but is less user friendly and doesn't offer the same functionality.

That's not my opinion, since I have no experience of the S-380; but the advice was to buy the older model, which should be cheaper now if you can still find one for sale.

I read that too. The S-370 is obviously a very hard act to beat!

Here's some bullet points from the experience of owners of the 780 and 770:-

- build quality def reduced from 770

- zero internal memory

- PQ and SQ similiar to 770, no mark difference

- 780 doesnt get as warm as 770

- wifi on 780 is 2.4ghz compared to 5.4 ghz on 770 (2 antenna's on 770, wifi works ALOT better on 770 therefore)

main complaints so far, not what I was expecting or hoping for.
