I've just chased in all my cables for a full entertainment set up in my main living room with the TV getting fed Sky HD+ / Blu-ray. In the dining room I've also had installed a second standard sky box, thus enabling the wife to watch Corrie and Kids to watch Cbeebies etc. ALL cables and equipment (BD-player, Onkyo Amp, Both Sky Boxes) are fed into a cupboard so they are hidden away from view.

The sky engineer has temporarily connected the multiroom box up (2nd sky box), but said that I would need a scart cable to get the best possible picture. The problem with this is the cupboard is about 5m away from the T.V.

Can anyone recommend a suitable cable ??? or possible alternatives.

Cheers !!

personally, as its only connecting to a second tv and not your main set, i would just connect it up using the rf out, over that distance a coax will be much less unwieldy, and easier to run/hide than a thick scart cable, and tbh if its on a crt set the difference in pic quality isn't that noticable imo. you can get 5,6 and even 10m scarts but tbh i'd stick with the rf option for ease

Thanks for the reply. I think this is what the engineer has hooked it up with at the minute. Obviously it is working fine, but said that a Scart would deliver the better quality picture. By the way its connected to a Full HD Toshiba XF355. I understand about Scart being unweildy as the Scart cable that came with the installation does seems chunky to say the least. Sounds like the best and cheapest option would be to us the RF cable already supplied. Would the scart deliver a better picture though ???
