Hi

Firstly I'd just like to say what a great forum this is. Found so much useful information the last few weeks.

I'm just starting out (having owned one brand systems before) in getting some separates together and improving as I go. My knowledge is beginner really.

I've always loved the old retro look and feel. Mostly had Pioneer's of the 80s

I've got this Sansui AU-G55X amp and really love the look and retro style of it but can't find any information on it online hardly. I also love the sound it produces with my Marantz cd player when I play my Pink Floyd, Stranglers, Bowie and the such.

What can anyone tell me about these amps? I know there will be plenty better but I love the style of it and the lights of it and layout.

I have a Kenwood KA 3050R amp too but left it in the cupboard as it isn't as pleasing on the eye and doesn't have the same retro feel.

I'm going to be looking to upgrade things as I go along my journey. I've recently been spending all available money on my old Rover sd1 but that's done now so it's on to the Audio hobby.

Thanks for having me

Darren
