Not sure any/many people on here would have heard the Sandstrom or have know of its quality.

It looks like a Dixons Group own brand that makes/rebadges all sorts if electrical goods, so it might not be that great in terms of a piece of hifi. I would stick to companies/brands that have a reputation for audio electronics like Teac, Denon, although keeping to a lowish budget and getting a high ratio of sound quality per pound might be difficult unless you are prepared to buy used.

Go to your local Richer Sounds shop and see what else you might be able to get instead.

They are all pretty average products, I certainly wouldn't be buying one over the likes of a panasonic or equivilant. It really just depends on what price you can get them for. They are fairly well made (I deal with repairs in our store most of the time) not all that many seem to come back. So after reliability it's just a case of what it sounds like in your opinion.

Re Sandstrom, this is Currys own brand, aimed between Logik and Pure. I purchased SDABXRW13 DAB Radio; which actually picked up more stations than my Pure, but had 2 issues; there is a reasonably loud hum/buzz from the speakers, and at low volume is very audible; if turn volume up the buzz does not change so it becomes less noticeable - if for a kitchen this will prob be fine, if for bedside and want to listen at low volume it is a problem. The headphone jack also had a bad connect, and intermittently switched back from headphone to speaker - which in the night did not impress my wife. I replaced the unit and the issue with speaker is exactly the same. I have seen other posts on different Sandstrom products that also give similar sound problem. Shame because other than that was ok, and about right / good for the price.
