Just heads up to say that I have had my old V+ box replaced with the newer Samsung

Basically get one.....it works like a dream, 1080i in the EPG is clear as crystal, the remote commands are lightening quick and the hard drive noise is pretty much non existent. And it works perfectly with my Denon 1910 now

Though I'll be enjoying my 20 mb broadband compared to 4mb limit Sky can only offer me in my area.....

Also half those HD channels are rubbish anyway (and half of them are upscaled, and not true HD.....)

Had Sky for 6 yrs man, I'm never going back, poor service, expensive and rubbish broadband. Plus if your box breaks and its 'out of warranty' you have to pay for it, unless you threaten to leave. What's all that about????

I always set them to 720p as I think it's a better picture.

Only other issue with the Samsungs are no RF outputs and no analogue audio outs.

Agree totally on the hard drive noise, the older S.A boxes are noisy , although you have to contend with fan noise which the S.A boxes don't have.

New customer here with a V+ Samsung - very impressed with it, seems very responsive and compared to most set-top boxes it looks the part.

Bit miffed that it isn't the same width as my blu-ray, dvd recorder and amp though (it's slightly narrower)

And to the Sky HD customer with those 40 HD channels - I trust they are proper HD and not just 'upscaled' ;-)

How would I get one of these? My current box keeps conking out on me.

Hi Garth,

The Samsung still has 3 tuners right? Also is it true you can 'record' the radio channels?

Cheers.
