On the whole this a fantastic panel, easy set up.....and does it need it as the out of the box settings are awful. Only problem I've noticed is really bad strobing but only on the occasional broadcast on Sky HD. It's particularly bad on clothing and hair strangely. Is this an inherant problem with LED as I've only had Pioneer plasmas in the past. Are there any particular settings that might resolve this.

Thanks guys

There is absolutely no strobing at all on this panel if it's set up correct.

May I presume you are running firmware 1012 ?

MENU-SUPPORT-SOFTWARE UPDATE will reveal your current version.

If it's anything less than 001012 then download the file from Samsung's website, put it on a USB stick, execute the file while still on the stick which will create the directory the TV needs to see.

Insert stick into the first USB input (remove any other sticks during the process), and repeat the above steps, this time selecting "By USB" as the final step and follow the instructions.

For your information, if you were running the 1010 firmware out of the box, that introduced a whole bunch of problems.

The latest 1012 seems to have nailed most if not all of the problems, including better voice recognition!

Where shall I start?
Random power cycling causing the set to power off then on again in quick succession.
SmartHub taking 30 seconds to load instead of in a blink of an eye.
Sluggish menu operation and almost useless web browser function.
Remote control lockup which means it won't respond to any commands so you have to unplug the mains to switch off.
Patchy voice recognition.

This was the 1010.3 firmware nightmare.

However with the 1012 update (available on Samsung's website), all is well.
Once again thanks to the superb support team @ Samsung Norway, average waiting time to get to chat with a level one tech using the live webchat function was around 30 seconds.
As I mentioned in another post, they phoned me back to follow up and make sure everything was working again.
Now that's a customer service that's quite rare these days . . . .
