Samsung Plasma

I have just come across the Samsung PS42C450B1 at John Lewis for £449 but cannot find any reviews for it. Is it an old model? Or new? I am mainly interested in watching football so does anyone know if it handles motion blur well or not.

the lower spec samsung plasmas are not fantastic , maybe good enough for many though , especially at the price , depends what your looking for , if your thinking of future bluray player , audio upgrades , then there are better tvs to build upon ..

as for motion , it should be ok , as its a plasma , but imo , at that price point id be looking at a panasonic 42x20 or spending a little more for a full hd 42s20 ...

I was also looking at this TV. Ive never had a plasma and a bit worried about screen burn? but saw this and was very tempted. Its for the "best" room so will see light use, bit of footy and DVD.I don't know if I'm best getting this or a spending the same on a LCD.The 450£ is a stretch can make 500£ for the SONY KDL37W581OU (from comet with there £100 trade in.)
