Samsung LE40B650 Game Mode

Hi all im very intrested in buying the Samung LE40B650 and will be using it with my Ps3 and Xbox 360. I was wondering How good the picture is in game mode as i know this tv had bad input lag. regards Anthony

I bought the Samsung LE40B650 tv 2 weeks ago and also own a PS3 and XBOX 360, i can report there is absolutely NO visible degredation of picture in 'Game Mode'. What the game mode does is adjust the refresh rate especially for game content to lessen the effect of lag, without it switched on The Beatles Rock Band is unplayable as is any twitch heavy game, such as COD 4. With it on though i have had no problems with any game, after using the auto calibration with Rock Band i actually found it more accurate than my old Sony KDL32P3020 tv!!

I have to admit to this being my only concern when i opted for this set but i have to say the game mode does a great job and in all other respects it is a superb tv for the money, lovely deep blacks excellent contrast and bags of detail. As you may have guessed i'm a happy chappy with this tv but one word of warning, calibrate it properly! Even the 'home' settings are extremely harsh and i thought i had an issue with some very slight clouding (nothing like the Sony issue) but no i didn't the tv just needed calibrating properly and ever since it's been fantastic!!

I will just add that i'm so glad i never took the Sony gamble of wondering if your new tv has major clouding/backlight issues, just wish What Hi Fi would get a sample in for review as would like to know what they think. Hope that helps, if you need any more info just post it here.
