If i play sacd on my arcam player through optical cable to my dac magic and then rca to pre amp, will this work?

it might work, but only if you select the CD layer of the SACD. I don't think it's possible to output 24/192 DSD over optical.

Just to clarify, DSD isn't 24/192, but 1/2.8MHz. But no, SACD players don't output digitally from the SACD layer via S/PDIF.
