Be interesting to see what difference ,if any , this makes to the DSP which apparently is part of the fix

That's a rather silly comment, moreso considering you're a dealer!!!
A firmware upgrade does not make the amp 'better' as you put it. It is there to resolve everything that is wrong with it in the first place!

A firmware upgrade does not make the amp 'better' as you put it. It is there to resolve everything that is wrong with it in the first place!

Link now fixed, just select Downloads to be redirected to another screen where you can search for the firmware.
Another one for Arcam to learn from, just updated my Z7 via USB very straightforward and uncomplicated by comparison to the long winded procedure the dealer had with my previous AVR600!

Not necessarily. The description says that DSP decoding is improved. If someone has written a better algorithm to process the sound it does not mean anything was "wrong" before. Equally, my freesat box has new firmware to support the iplayer, which is a new feature. Nothing was wrong with it, they are just kindly adding new functionality.
