Room size limit with floor standers

Hi, I was thinking of purchasing some Quad 22L2 speakers, My room size is only 7ft -12ft would it be to small? If bass would be a problem would putting some foam in the ports help,also they would be about 30cm from side walls and about the same from rear walls.

I have a very similar room size to you and as you will see from my sig, I have a pair of ProAc Studio 130's and I am very pleased with the sound... no boomey base, tight control with a superbly clear top end.

I think there's more to it than just the size of the room.

• wall/floor material
• furniture
• and maybe even the placement in 1st/2nd floor
