Found this knowledgeable article ont 'net: http://www.postaudio.co.uk/education/acoustics/room_acoustics.html So it looks like reducing early reflections is a priority. Obviously a thick pile rug on the floor is a good move. But the walls? Any thoughts?tajules.

You really need to get all your first reflections covered first and foremost along with bass traps in the corners, ideally you want to measure the room to see what freq are giving you problems and work from there onwards, my room is quite heavily treated and I get superb soundstage and definition, good vocal presence, I have a few modes which are quite hard to eradicate, but I'll probably need further treating on the ceiling to over come this.
