Isn't droning on about 'virtue-signalling' and 'wokeness' are generally signalling different perceived virtues to to your own group, maybe just a with bit more anger.

So, off you pop, to room 101.
Thank you for your contribution Mr Reid 👍
It seems that you might be one of the ones that I was 'droning on about'.

However, good luck to you.
Stick around. In time you'll realise that we don't get personal with each other on this forum.

Frankly, in 2024 if you're still subjecting yourself to adverts then you're a dinosaur (at least technologically speaking)
I really try not to Dave
As an aside, if you're too cheap to pay for content then don't moan about adverts... It has to be funded somehow!
Well I pay a licence fee.
And all of my music is paid for.
However, I watch Martin Lewis on ITV so I'm very sorry that I complain about adverts, I should know better than to upset right- minded people.

Well-to-do looking bloke in the Co-op in my dad's village. Every few weeks there's a Big Issue seller there - very quiet and friendly, scarcely audible if truth be told. I know BI sellers make a lot of people uncomfortable, self included - I think with me it's the knowledge that I have less need for what I am usually buying than they do for a few quid. But hey ho - like I say she's quiet and friendly.

This chap follows me into the Co-op, and I move my trolley out of the way so I can seek to satisfy my father's seemingly insatiable appetite for bananas, and he collars a member of staff to insist that they tell the BI seller to get lost. All the time blocking the aisle so I can't get by, so I end up giving him a gentle nudge in the end.

Gave the seller a few quid and told her that not everyone is like that.

Obviously he has probably never experienced any genuine adversity in his life to the point he has been helpless and had to rely on the kindness of others. He'll find out eventually.

Intelligence/intellect, language, architecture, and music all seems to be headed south.

It's certainly interesting how architectural design has become bland over the past centuries. What happened to those intricate designs from old?

Language is full of so much slang it's difficult to converse intelligently these days.

Rap and hip hop is not music... it's noise.
There's even a new music genre category now called: noise...🤡

Just my thoughts and opinions..

I ordered a Zero In Bed Bug & Dust Mite Killer from Green Essentials (It seems a shop in Hertfordshire) last Saturday and to date I have not anything from them. Website states any thing to do with order use their chat line. So I did and it states someone in a few hours will answer. So what am I expected to do keep chat line open and wait..? I tried email and automatic response came to me ( as valued customer) saying I must go on chat line. I found a phone number rang them and automatic response saying messages are full...? Is it me or is this Green Essentials and eloborate scam...?

Post-Covid fatigue.

I had no idea this was a thing. But now apparently I have it. The last three weeks have been pretty crap. Stopped training to try and conserve energy. That hasn’t helped with focus at work. Ended up taking over a week off. So now I feel stressed, out of shape, behind with work, losing money & totally listless with no motivation to resolve it. Strange.

But Long Covid is well known, hopefully not what you've got.
Get well soon.

I saw this article in today's BBC web news:
No such thing as "COVID" or "Post COVID Fatigue".
I could explain however I would violate "GRAPES" policies here on the forum in doing so.💡
I can say that I'm a retired orthopedic healthcare provider...
