Guy of Gisborne: Why a spoon, cousin? Why not an axe?
Sheriff of Nottingham: Because it's DULL, you twit. It'll hurt more

Sheriff of Nottingham: [to a wench[/I]] You. My room. 10:30 tonight.
Sheriff of Nottingham: [to another wench[/I]] You. 10:45... And bring a friend.

If your enjoying it, then thast all that matters

Well Prince of Thieves bluray isn't much better than the extended cut dvd

Dont getv me wrong it its better, but just marginally

Why dont they just remaster from the original copy!!!!!

This is why I prefer Criterion Collection DVD/Blu, they do it properly!!!

Enjoy bud

Re: Prince of Thieves - it's good I thought - video isn't brilliant, but definitely a step up from the DVD (well, the original one I owned anyway!). Sound is much improved though I thought.

I'd second that - it's not the best BD transfer (for sound or vision), but it's a step up from the DVD and I got mine for £6.99 in one of the Play sales. It's one of my guilty pleasure movies

a step up yes

But the transfer is way too inconsistant, just like the prevous 2 disc version
The original release is terrible!!
Its better, but come on these blurays should have the original film remastered, just like the company criterion, then the difference becomes night and day

Some parts look quite sharp and well defined, and others soft, and washed out

Personally I wouldn't buy it until they remastered it properly

Even a dvd I have called From Beyond which is a very low budget 80's horror classic has a better PQ transfer (remastered in a High def), and that's on DVD for christ sake!! Looked amazing on my projector, Prince of Thieves looked borderline very good to just ok.....
