Right Channel Crackle. Help.

I have just bought all new the following items.

Marantz CD6003: Chord Company CobraPlus, Marantz PM6003: Chord Company SuperScreen, Mordaunt-Short Aviano 1, SoundStyle Z1, QED Silver Anniversary XT with QED Airloc Plugs.

Basically, when I turn the volume up the right hand channels crackles. The left hand is fine. The crackle is more notable when using the remote to turn it up.

I have swapped the cables and speakers around and its not badly terminated plugs, hope not as they were QED Airlok'd. It's not the speakers or the Chord Stereo cable.

Which makes me think it the amp. Has anyone heard of problems with these amps? From my general knowledge I suspect its bad grounding on the volume knob's motor.

Any Advice is appreciated, I can take it back to the shop as I only got it Wed. Cheers

It does sound like a dodgy volume control- either bad grounding, or just dirt on the contacts.
Pop it back to the shop and it should be fairly easily sorted out!

I got a straight swap and so far so good. I will keep an eye on it. Thanks for the input.
