Replacement / upgrade cable for AKG potrables

The cable has 3.5mm plugs at each end and has taken a fair old battering but never really seemed to be up to the job in the first place. It is rather thin and suffers from some microphony.Does anyone know of / have experience of replacement / upgrade cables (approx 1m long) that might be available?

I don't think the stock one is that bad to be honest.
