Replacement for Arcam AVP700

I currently have the Arcam AVP700 paired with the Arcam P1000 power amp. I am having problems with the AVP700 such as continuous hum through all speakers and optical audio inputs not working. I think it is time to part company with this but would like to retain the P1000. Unfortunayely there is a distinct lack of knowledgable dealers in my area so would be grateful for suggestions for a suitable replacement for The AVP700, my budget is up to about £1000.

Maybe you could pick up a second hand Arcam 360/380 and use the pre-outs on it to your power amp. Then your just using the 360/380 decode the source signals just as the AVP700 did.

Would that work?
